The State of Utah requires 600 hours of training to qualify for licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Our 612.5 hour, 3 level course provides students with the required hours, course offerings, and knowledge base to apply to sit for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) and prepares the student for licensure in many states as a Massage Therapist. We lay a strong foundation of Safety, Sanitation, Ethics, Swedish Massage theory and cover an intro level in a variety of massage related topics, to give the student a sampling of the possibilities and build a solid foundation for safely working in the massage and bodywork field.
Level One: Start your foundation with Palpatory Anatomy, Ethics of Touch, Introduction to Massage Techniques, History of Massage, Intro to Pathology and Safety/Sanitation (13 Weeks)
Level Two: Build on your foundation with training in Anatomy/Physiology Body Systems, More Massage Techniques, More Ethics for Touch, Pathology, Lymphatic Massage, Massage for Special Populations.
Level Three: Complete your foundation with Kinesiology, Business Practices, Massage Techniques, Intro to Advanced Specialties (Reflexology, Spa, Chinese Paradigm, Hydrotherapy, Chair Massage and More).
Certificate of Completion will be issued after each level. All 3 levels are required for Utah licensure.
